The sky is the limit… I den sublime årgang 2020 stiger La Confession mod samme høje luftlag som 1er Grand Cru Classé-naboerne Château Canon og Clos Fourtet, der begge har høstet 100 point og koster over 1000 kr. flasken!

Når La Confession alligevel går en smule under radaren, og kan nydes til en brøkdel af ovenstående priser, skyldes det, at Jean-Philippe Janoueix kun har lavet denne "rising star" fra sit nuværende terroir siden 2007.

Høj cigarføring i kælderen!
Jean-Philippe, der er fjerde generation af den på højrebredden legendariske Janoueix-familie, har været hyldet ”Vintner of the year” og er særligt kendt som pionér for brugen af såkaldte ”cigar-barrels” i kælderen.

Special-tøndernes aflange form tillader rødvinen af optage ekstra fedme fra gærresterne, hvorved La Confession opnår sin imponerende fylde og cremede teksur.

74% Merlot og 26% Cabernet Franc, sidstnævnte fra over 70 år gamle vinstokke, høstes fra La Confessions 7,5 hektar nær Château Canon, Clos Fourtet og Chateau Beau-Sejour Becot.

Jean-Philippe Janoueix modner vinen 15-19 måneder på 100% nye egetræsfade, ligeligt fordelt mellem cigarformede specialfade samt 225 liters barriques.

Ved køb af 6 flasker leveres vinen i original trækasse.
