"The 2021 Couvent des Jacobins is a real success" - Robert Parker
Anmeldelser af Couvent des Jacobins Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classe 2021 BIO
94-95/100 Vert de Vin Magazine
"The nose is fruity with a hint of spice and elegance. There are notes of juicy blackberry, bright raspberry and, to a lesser extent, crushed cherry, combined with hints of small berries, green pepper, as well as fine hints of lily, star anise, a discreet hint of sediment and tonka bean. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, good purity of fruit, dynamism, gourmandize, some density and concentration. On the palate this wine expresses morello cherry, bright blackcurrant and more lightly fresh/acidic redcurrant notes combined with hints of liquorice, cocoa/tonka bean as well as fine toastiness, toasted almond, a subtle hint of roast, blueberry, green pepper, a subtle vanilla edge. Fine mellowness, nice acidity on the finish/persistence."

"The 2021 Couvent des Jacobins is a real success, delivering aromas of cherries and plums mingled with notions of sweet spices, licorice and loamy soil. Medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, it's impressively concentrated, with a lively core of fleshy, succulent fruit and ripe structuring tannins. Denis Pomarède explains that the estate's vineyards were heavily frosted: the two hectares of this 10.5-hectare estate that were spared produced yields of 30 hectoliters per hectare, the rest a derisory four hectoliters per hectare."

"Bright berry, cherry and currant character with some black licorice. Medium body. Fine tannins. Delicate. 70% merlot, 23% cabernet franc and 7% petit verdot."

91-93/100 Jeff Leve, The Wine Cellar Insider
"Medium/full-bodied, rich, fleshy, round textured sweet, dark cherries, licorice, espresso, flowers and black plums hit all the right notes. The wine is soft, energetic, aromatic and supple-textured in the finish, which leaves you with sweetness and freshness providing length and energy. Drink from 2023-2035."
