Fresh and bright with juicy fruit and hazelnuts, with a little bit of herbs. Full and layered. Watching the elevage on this.

Dark fruity and for once very floral, lots of violets, plus vegetable notes, blackberries, blueberries. Round and soft on the palate, a mouthful of wine, very concentrated, fine-grained, even silky tannins, the wine shows a lot of opulence while remaining elegant. Long finish, ends on dark fruits and liquorice. A Pomerol that is great fun for little money. Can be enjoyed when young, has huge potential

The biodynamic approach has greatly benefited Château Mazeyres, with intense and delicate aromas of cherry and blueberry, without any sign of over-ripeness. This sandy-soil Pomerol wine does not reveal any weakness in the 2022 vintage, instead winning hearts with its solid yet gentle tannins. This free-spirited and approachable expression is not common in Pomerol. I eagerly anticipate its even more outstanding performance after bottling.

Picked between 1 and 19 September, the 2022 Mazeyres offers up aromas of minty dark berries, licorice and tobacco leaf, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy palate that's supple, gourmand and enveloping. This charming organically and biodynamically farmed Pomerol is produced by Alain Mouiex.

The 2022 Château Mazeyres is a full-bodied, rich, nicely concentrated Pomerol that stays balanced. Ripe black and blue fruits, chocolate, and leafy tobacco are just some of the nuances, and it has quality tannins, and again, a pure, balanced style. It should be outstanding.
