Falstaff

Deep dark ruby garnet, opaque core, violet reflections, delicate brightening of the edges. Fresh red and black forest berries, a hint of liquorice, delicate of figs and nougat, tobacco nuances, inviting bouquet. Complex, juicy, delicately spicy on the palate, integrated, sustaining tannins, mineral, a hint of black tea in the aftertaste, sticks well, sure development potential.

A blend of 40% Cabernet Franc, 40% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, aging for 12 months in one-third new French oak barrels, one-third cask and one-third in terracotta amphorae, the 2020 Todeschini Distique 13 has an opaque purple-black color and pronounced black cherry preserves, wild blueberries and boysenberries scents, with hints of rose oil, ground cloves, dusty soil and cinnamon toast. The medium to full-bodied palate delivers mouth-coating black fruits with a lively backbone and fine-grained tannins to support, finishing long and spicy.

Very intense purple colour with violet hue and black core. Rich and concentrated, however initially slightly closed character, multi-layered fruit, black cherries, sloe and blackberries, blackcurrant jelly in the background, elegant spiciness reminiscent of gingerbread and oriental spices. On the palate firm tannins, backed by sweet fruit and mild spices, well structured with very good length and a certain depth.
