Château Lascombes i historisk topform...
97/100 Markus Del Monego, Master of Wine
“Intense purple colour with violet hue and black core. Sophisticated nose with complex aroma reminiscent of ripe blackcurrants, blackcurrant spurs, sweet blackberries and hints of ripe blueberries. In the background oriental spices and floral hints reminiscent of roses and Darjeeling leaf. On the palate expressive and well balanced with silky tannins, juicy fruit, elegant spiciness, subtle oak and fine toasting, creating a wonderful mouthfeel and an excellent length.”

“Elegant and refined showing notes of lavender, hibiscus, guaranà, linden, lemon, citron, pink grapefruit and pomegranate. Medium bodied, well extracted perfectly mature tannins and a finish which will come out over time but already shows its true quality. “
96/100 La Revue du Vin de France
«One of the château's most remarkable successes. Generous on the palate, it is beautifully balanced, with a finish that brings a welcome breath of freshness. The overall structure is well-aligned, ensuring excellent aging potential for this wine, which is more vibrant than ever.”
95-96/100 Izak Litwar, Great Bordeaux Wines
“It had a sensual and aromatic nose of grilled bacon and coffee beans, great elegance and finesse, a powerful, sophisticated touch, silky berries, and very finely-grained tannin. It's authentic and classy Margaux wine, as it can be! Wonderfully captivating effort.”
95-96/100 Bernard Burthschy
95/100 James Suckling
“Aromas of crushed blackcurrants and cherries with dried Provence herbs, lavender, raw walnuts and spiced cedar. Graphite, too. Full and muscular with a broad-shouldered, velvety tannin structure that goes on for minutes. Textured and chalky with a lingering finish. Very polished. 55% cabernet sauvignon, 40% merlot and 5% petit verdot.”
95/100 Jeb Dunnuck
“Tasted on multiple occasions, the 2020 Château Lascombes is clearly another brilliant wine from this château that readers will love. Sporting a deep purple hue as well as a classic bouquet of cassis, dried flowers, freshly sharpened pencils, and obvious minerality, it hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, has a layered, elegant mouthfeel, lots of building tannins, and a great finish. It's going to need 4-6 years at a minimum but is some serious Margaux brilliance that will have 30 years of longevity.”
95/100 Wine Enthusiast
“In this stylish wine, fruit and tannins are in harmony. Black plum flavors are richly concentrated with the firm structure. The wine is set for long-term aging.”
95/100 Andreas Larsson, Tasted
“Dark fruity and intense with roasted coffee bean, meaty notes, balanced oak and a wealth of crushed dark berries. An ample and rich palate, layered in a modern and supple style with fine balance. Long and powerful finish.”

“On the nose, an expression of fruit, elegance, offering power, delicacy, complexity and a fine grain and finely tight. It reveals the notes of blackberry, violet, ripe wild currant and more lightly saffron combined with hints of cassis, a small touch of bright cherry, hints of sweet spice and a subtle hint of pepper and an imperceptible hint of clove (in the background). The palate is fruity, balanced and offers freshness, minerality, good definition, a certain gourmandize, suavity, roundness, a excellence power, straightness, an airy character in the balance (given the power, the richness) as well as a good tannic structure. The attack offers a certain firmness. The wine express the notes of pulpy/juicy raspberry, bright cherry and more slightly juicy cassis associated with touches of violet, bright berries, racy minerality as well as hints of fresh blond tobacco, toast, vanilla and a subtle hint of pepper (in the background). The tannins are precise, relatively massive and mellow. A fine chew on the finish. Good length and persistence.”
94/100 Falstaff
“Dark ruby garnet, purple reflections, deep core, delicate rim brightening. Fine, inviting wild berries, ripe cherries, delicate savoury nuances, a hint of vanilla. Juicy, good complexity and freshness, sweet texture, ripe, supporting tannins, a touch of toasty flavors, mineral and long lasting, certain ageing potential.”
94/100 VV Wine
”Expressive, fine, floral, dark fruity, with hints of dark chocolate and sweetness. The taste is elegant, showcasing crisp fruit and plenty of finesse, with a creamy texture, polished tannins, no overpowering oak, and everything in great balance. A quality Lascombes that should be enjoyable early on.”
