The nose is elegant, gourmand and offers power. It reveals notes of juicy/pulpy Boysen berry, wild raspberry, small notes of cuben pepper associated with touches of small ripe black fruits, pulpy black plum as well as fine hints of racy minerality. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers tension, precision, gourmandize and a small freshness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy cassis, boysen berry, small notes of small acidulous red berries associated with touches of acidulous wild raspberry as well as fine hints of zan, toasted hazelnut and chocolate. Good length. Tannins are elegant.

Really clear aromas of blackcurrants and blackberries with dried flowers and sandalwood. It’s full-to medium-bodied, yet with very tight, refined tannins that run the length of the finish. Second wine of Lagrange. Very well done. “

The 2019 Les Fiefs de Lagrange is a soft, supple easygoing wine to drink now and over the next few years. Sweet red cherry, red fruit flowers, mint, blood orange, spice and rose petal perk up the finish. Readers will find a charming Saint-Julien that captures the personality of the year in spades.

Bright dark purple colour. Youthful nose offering violet, freshly crushed berries, darker fruit notes with cassis and dark plum. Medium weight palate, elegant and polished with floral dark fruit flavours, polished tannin, fresh and digest with a fine length. Already fairly accessible.
