Château Malartic Lagravière Pessac-Leognan Cru Classé Rouge 2019 i trækasse

Det er gået stærkt siden 1997, da Graves Cru Classé slottet Malartic-Lagravière blev købt af den belgiske forretningsmand Alfred-Alexandre Bonnie. Med lommer så dybe som markernes grus (sine steder op til 8 meter!) har Bonnie på få år skærpet Malartic-Lagravière fra blød, forsømt mellemvare til en af Pessac-Léognans skarpeste stjerner.

Høstudbyttet er sænket, faciliteterne renoveret og ambitiøse fagfolk tilknyttet – fx. den ønologiske konsulent Michel Rolland. Som resultat har vinene nu mere sul på kroppen, mere koncentration og samtidig mere finesse. I mange år var hvidvinen Malartic-Lagravières stolthed, men nu scorer også ”le Rouge” op til 96 point hos de store anmeldere.

"The 2019 Malartic Lagraviére was picked from 17 September to11 October at 46hl/ha and sees 65% new French oak for an intended 18 months. It has a lovely bouquet with disarming blackberry,briary andsubtle marine scents, just a whiff of brine in thebackground fram the distant Gironde estuary.The palate is medium-bodied with extremly fine tannins that frame the layers of blackberry, raspberry and orange rind notes. Satin-like in texture, this feels reassuringly long in the mouth with a dab of white pepper on the aftertaste. What an outstanding Malartic fromBonnie family. Tasted from three bottles. 2025-2055".

"The 2019 Malartic Lagraviére is a blend of 55.9% Cabernet Sauvignon, 41.3% Merlot and 2.8% Cabernet Franc, harvested from the 17th of September to the 11th of October. The wine is aging in French oak barrels,65% new, for approximately 18 months. Deep garnet-purple colored, the nose leaps from the glass with exuberant notes of ripe blackberries, fresh black plums and boysenberries with hints of cedar chest,clove oil,violets and black licorice plus a waft of Sichuan pepper. Medium to full-bodied, the palate ispackedwith ripe, rich blackfruits and a compellling spicy undercurrent, framed by firm, plush tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing on lingering aniseednote. Very impressive!".
