“The nose is aromatic, powerful, racy and offers power. It reveals notes of wild cassis, cornflower, small notes of pencil lead associated with touches of dense/crushed blackberry, cocoa, nutmeg as well as a fine hint of cardamom, iris and cuben pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a juicy/finely acidulous frame, harmony, a beautiful minerality, freshness, a good definition, juiciness, gourmandize as well as a fine tension, fat and suavity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy cassis, juicy blackberry, small notes of violet associated with fine touches of cornflower, pencil lead as well as discreet hints of caramelization and chocolate. Good length. Tannins are elegant and well-buillt.”

The medium to full-bodied palate is jam-packed with red and black fruit layers, framed by firm, exquisitely ripe, velvety tannins and bold freshness, finishing long and fragrant. Just stunning!”

"The 2019 Larrivet Haut-Brion is laced with a whole range of dark red cherry, lavender, gravel, rose petal, blood orange, mint and sweet spice nuances. Deep and persistent, with fabulous balance, the 2019 has so much to recommend it. One of the signatures of Larrivet Haut-Brion is a relatively high percentage of Cabernet Franc, and the Franc character really comes through. It will be fascinating to see how things evolve as the property transitions to sustainable farming."

Medium-bodied, elegant and refined, with loads of freshness, silky textures and dark red, earthy fruits in the finish are found here.
